Public Hearings

Bylaw 24-61-498 proposes to amend the land use on those lands described as a portion of the Southeast of Section Thirty-Two (32), Township Ninety (90), Range Twenty-Two (22) West of the Fifth Meridian (W5M) be amended from Agriculture General (A) District to Country Residential General (CR1) District as illustrated on Schedule “A” attached hereto.

The County of Northern Lights Council will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed bylaw on Tuesday, February 11  2025 at 11:00 am. You are invited to attend the Statutory Public Hearing in-person or via the virtual Zoom platform to express your views or listen to the deliberations.

Pursuant to Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, it is the intent of Council for the County of Northern Lights to amend its Land Use Bylaw.

Bylaw 24-61-496 proposes text amendments to introduce new and/or revised uses into the County of Northern Lights Land Use Bylaw (LUB) No. 12-61-290 for the purposes of:

1. Adding “Automotive and Equipment Repair Shop” as either permitted or discretionary uses in the Land Use Districts identified in Table 1;
2. Deleting “Industrial Service Shop” as a discretionary use in the General Industrial (M1) District.
