Dust Control

Application Deadline

The application deadline is Wednesday, April 30. Note that payment must also be received by April 30.

The County’s Dust Control Program is advertised annually on the County website, social media, and local newspapers. The program offers the application of dust control agents applied for a length of 200 meters upon approval. The primary dust control agent used by the County is calcium chloride.

To sign up for the Dust Control Program:

  1. Fill out the Dust Control Application form.

  2. Submit the form and payment by the last business day in April.

  3. Payment options include:

    • Check mailed with your application

    • Call into office with credit card

    • or in-person at the office with a check, cash, debit or credit card. 

    • Invoices will not be generated for dust control.

Secondary Highway Dust Control

Applicants requesting dust control on secondary highways must contact Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors at 780-624-6280, who will contact the County.
