Airport

The County of Northern Lights owns and operates the Manning Municipal Airport, situated just three kilometres north of the Town of Manning. The airport is designed to accommodate general aviation for all aircraft up to Code 3 category, utilizing both Instrument Flight Regulations (IFR) and Visual Flight Regulations (VFR). With a modern air terminal in place, passenger flights can be serviced with ease.

The asphalt overlay runway spans 30 meters (100 feet) in width and 1,701 meters (5,580 feet) in length, complete with radio-controlled runway lighting (ARCAL).

A 2006 redevelopment added three new aircraft taxiways – two directly to the runway and one to the commercial apron – and a large tanker base apron (measuring 200' in width and 600' in length) for the parking and loading of large fire tankers. Complementing this is a 100' x 600' asphalt section optimized for the parking of smaller aircraft and facilitating aircraft movement.

Fees associated with the airport can be found in the Schedule of Fees link below.
