Here are your highlights from the May 12, 2026 Council meeting!
Policies and Bylaws
- Adopted the Travel Policy
- Updated policy will be available on the County website in the coming days
Community Initiatives
- Council awarded CCAP grant funding of $10,000 each to
- Battle River Pioneer Museum to purchase a Gaar-Scott steam tractor for their collection
- Deadwood Community to renovate the hall's front entrance to be more accessible
- Manning & District Ski Club to replace the chalet deck
- Manning Community Enhancement Committee for the community hub project
- Weberville Community Club for electrical upgrades and a dock at the Leddy Lake campground, and interior wall repairs, lighting and switch upgrades at the Weberville hall
- Provided a letter of support to the Hawk Hills Ag Society for their application to the FCC AgriSpirit fund to replace the playground at the hall
- Donation towards the Alberta-NWT Command Military Service Recognition Book via an ad space purchase
