The Government of Canada conducts the national census every 5 years. The information you provide in completing your census helps communities, businesses, and all levels of government to plan services, develop programs, and make informed decisions about employment, schools, public transportation, hospitals, and more. Farm operators must also complete a Census of Agriculture questionnaire.
Census Employees
Census employees are going door to door to deliver census surveys. While they will be using unmarked vehicles, every census employee will have an identification card with the Statistics Canada identifier, along with their name, employee number, and photo.
