Energy Alberta is conducting a series of environmental field studies to support planning for the proposed Peace River Nuclear Power Project.
These field studies will take place throughout the spring and summer. You may observe field crews working in the proposed project locations.
Some of the data teams will be collecting include;
- Potential water intake locations
- Surface water conditions
- Groundwater conditions
- Local wildlife, including species at risk
This field work is conducted by trained crews, accompanied by Indigenous representatives, and may involve the use of bpats, survey equipment, drones, or passive monitoring devices (e.g., acoustic recorders).
