The County of Northern Lights Council has always recognized the importance of providing its residents with access to medical support. This is done through partnerships and funding, such as
Sitting on three (3) Attraction and Retention committees (Grimshaw, Manning, Peace River) to secure doctors and medical professionals in the region
Providing accommodations for locum doctors in a County-owned home in the Town of Manning
Providing an annual donation to STARS Ambulance as an essential emergency service
2026 also marks 19 years of partnership with STARS. To celebrate this milestone, Glenda Farnden, STARS Sr. Municipal Relations Liaison, presented Council with a framed photo of their Airbus H145 helicopter.
