Alberta Environment and Protected Areas is developing a nature strategy for the province. A nature strategy will be a made-in-Alberta approach for conserving, managing and restoring nature to support our communities and economy, similar to Alberta’s Water for Life strategy. The strategy will recognize the Government of Alberta’s current system for maintaining nature, provide long term direction to guide the province’s future work on investing in nature, and take action to manage the benefits we receive from nature, now and into the future.
Alberta Environment and Protected Areas is committed to developing a nature strategy that encourages and supports the role of, and recognizes the efforts and contributions of stakeholders and Albertans to maintaining healthy, connected landscapes.
