Council Highlights
Here are your highlights from the April 28, 2026 Council meeting!
Policies and Bylaws
- Gave the third and final reading to the 2026 Property Tax Bylaw
- Updated the Council Grants and Donations Policy
- New Road Maintenance Policy
- Updated policies and bylaws will be available on the County website in the coming days
Infrastructure Updates
- The Bridge Engineering Contract was awarded to MPA Engineering
- Council will continue with the status quo on road ban signage
Community Initiatives
- Council will be attending the Home Hardware Grand Opening in Manning on May 7
- Council motioned to try a one-year membership with Voyent Alert. More details will follow!
Finance and Budget
- The 2025 Audited Financial Statements were approved. They will be available on the County website soon!
- The 2026 haul rates are as follows:
- $0.20 per tonne-kilometre
- $1.60 loading factor
- $120.00 per day diesel fuel surcharge when fuel prices are over $1.80/L
Upcoming Meetings
Next regular Council meeting will be Tuesday, May 12 at 9 am, followed by a policy review meeting
