Notice to All 2025 Municipal Election Candidates:
Campaign Disclosure Statements are due for all candidates who ran in the 2025 County of Northern Lights municipal election.
A copy of Form 26 ‘Campaign Disclosure Statement and Financial Statement’ is available on the County website.
Completed forms must be received by February 28. Submit your completed forms and supporting documents to Teresa Tupper, ATI Coordinator, or stop by the County office in Manning.
Late Filing
- Candidates who fail to file a Form 26 ‘Campaign Disclosure Statement and Financial Statement’ form within the specified time period will be required to pay $500.00 late filing fee to the Municipality. This is in accordance with the Local Authorities Elections Act Section 147.7.
Non-Compliance
- Candidates who fail to submit a supplementary statement within 30 days and liable to a fine of not more than $5,000.00. This is in accordance with the Local Authorities Elections Act Section 147.84(1.1)(c).
It is important to note that even if your Campaign Disclosure Statement and Financial Statement have a sum of $0.00, it still must be completed and submitted by February 28.
Completed Campaign Disclosure Statement and Financial Statements are publicly accessible documents that will be uploaded to the County website.
