Visitors

The County of Northern Lights lies in the centre of the Mighty Peace County and is home to a dense boreal forest, majestic rivers, abundant wildlife, and secluded lakes. Visitors can get up close and personal with nature and, when night falls, watch as the northern lights dance across the open skies.

The optimal time to watch the northern lights is September-March, though they have made some special appearances in the summer months.

The Explore County of Northern Lights website is the official tourism, recreation and culture website for the County. There you can find an events page, things to do, places to stay, dining, shopping, and many other things to discover in the County and our neighbouring communities of Grimshaw, Manning and Peace River.

You can also follow Explore County of Northern Lights on Facebook and Instagram
