Summer and Fall in the County

Boating, fishing, camping, baseball, and golfing are just a handful of summertime activities that many residents and visitors take advantage of during our extended summer daylight hours. We average between 15-17 hours of sunlight each day from June-August.

Pop by one of the many museums in the region to take a walk in the past and learn more about the area!

Check out some of the region's bespoke retail stores and greenhouses with unique and locally made treasures.

As the daylight hours shorten, our beautiful landscape transforms to display fall colours that signal the end of summer and the start of the harvest months for our farming and hunting communities.

Winter in the County

With the arrival of winter comes our winter activities, bundling up and heading out on snowmobile trails, ski hills, rinks, and ice fishing. Don’t let the cold temperatures deter you from an adventure during the winter months, the views and wildlife are worth it, especially when the northern lights come out to dance across our open skies.
