Reeves Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the County of Northern Lights website.  Our website is designed to provide you with the most current and up to date information on what’s happening, our services and relevant information from all County departments. 

Our municipality is proud to say we have a strong management team that provides direction for staff and contractors in a professional manner.  Administration is there to help answer questions and concerns from county residents.

I’m honoured to have been selected as Reeve by my fellow council members and will commit to carrying out my duties to the best of my ability.  Having lived my entire life within the county and having served the last 2 terms on council, I feel that I can bring strong leadership and knowledge to our municipality.  Our council is made up of returning members, except for one, who has served on council in the past.  We worked very well together the last 4 years and as a result I look forward to continuing with strong decision making. 

As a County, we face numerous challenges and opportunities.  We are a large and diversified region and we strive to balance providing services with being fiscally responsible.  We are extremely fortunate to live in one of best places in Alberta and council will continue to maintain and improve our quality of living.   If you aren’t already a resident, come for a visit, discover the opportunities here, and consider making it your home!
