Alberta’s wildfire season is starting early this year, on February 20. Fire permits are required for burning within the Peace River Forest Protection Area (FPA), except for a campfire.
The earlier than usual start date is due to the drought conditions occurring in many areas of the province.
The wildfire danger for the Peace River Forest Protection Area (FPA) is currently moderate.
