This is NOT an Evacuation Order. This is an Alert UPDATE to get yourself, family, neighbours, pets and livestock PREPARED to leave the area.
This update is for everyone in the Hawk Hills area.
The Slims Creek Fire is now on the east side of Highway 35 and is out of control with additional spot fires.
Residents located east of Highway 35, north and adjacent to (alongside) Highway 692 and township road 952 northward to Twin Lakes must continue to be prepared for a possible evacuation. You do not need to evacuate yet, but be prepared to leave on short notice.
Gather medication and documents and be prepared to move pets and livestock if necessary.

The County of Northern Lights issues an Evacuation Alert for Residents in the Hawk Hills Area.
The 'Slims Creek Wildfire' 050 is moving eastward to Highway 35. Wind and dry conditions are fueling the fire.
Residents of Hawk hills living East of highway 35, North of highway 692 and Township 952 to Twin Lakes Recreation Area must be vigilant and be prepared to leave the area on short notice.
Have your Go Bag with your medicines, documents, money, ready to go including pets and livestock if necessary.
