Grain and Seed Testing Assistance Program


This program provides financial assistance to local producers for testing of their grains, oilseeds, and grasses for fusarium graminearum, germination, vigor, and blackleg of canola. Residents wishing to test cereal or grass seeds and can avail themselves of the program by dropping samples off at the Manning Co-op Seed Cleaning Plant or the Agricultural Fieldsman Terry Schamehord at the County Services building located in Manning. The County will pay for a maximum of 10 samples per Farm Unit per calendar year. (A Farm Unit may be a single operator, several family members cooperatively working as one unit, or a company.)
