South Regional Waterline Ribbon Cutting

November 7th, 2019

On Thursday, November 7th the County of Northern Lights hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the South Regional Waterline and Potable Water Truck-fill Stations.

The ceremony started at 10:00 am at the new Warrensville Potable Water Truck-fill station where County of Northern Lights Council and Staff, along with Town of Peace River Council, Industry representatives and Community members celebrated the completion of a 64km long distribution water pipeline from the Town of Peace River Water Treatment Plant to the Dixonville Water Treatment Plant. The project also included 2 new potable water truck-fill stations.

Following the ribbon cutting, attendees were invited to light refreshments inside the new Warrensville Potable Water Truck-fill where County Utilities staff were available to assist residents with water truck-fill account applications.

Residents wishing to access potable water from either the Weberville or Warrensville Truck-fill must fill out a Regional Truck-fill account application form which can be found at the County office or online at: or call the office to speak directly to the Utilities Clerk at 780.836.3348 or 1.888.525.3481

The South Regional Waterline and Potable Water Truck-fill Stations is the largest capital project undertaken by the County and could not have been made possible without provincial funding dollars. Many thanks to all the hands that made this project possible.
