Peace River Hazard Study Update

The multi-year study started in fall 2015 and technical work on all components is now complete. The Peace River Hazard Study assesses and identifies river-related hazards along 54 km of the Peace River and 1 km of the Heart River through Peace River.

The study extends from the end of the Shaftesbury Trail, to just past the Mercer pulp mill. Public feedback is currently being assessed on a number of study components as part of the study finalization process, including flood inundation maps that support local emergency response.
