County of Northern Lights Bursary & Hometown Proud Program

The County of Northern Lights, in partnership with the Northern Alberta Development Council (NADC), offers two bursaries of $1,500 each annually to students in the County. The successful candidates of the County Program are eligible for matching funds from the NADC. Considerations in determining successful candidates include academic standing, financial need, essay evaluation, and references.Download Application and Guidelines and the NADC Forms  HERE Application deadline is July 16th.


Hometown Proud Program

Students that are heading off to college or starting their first year of technical training for an apprenticeship should check out the Hometown Proud Initiative! The Hometown Proud program is available to students who are graduating, or have graduated from Grade 12 and is provided by the County of Northern Lights and the Town of Manning. Students who sign up can expect gift cards, fun post cards and more! Students who sign up before May 31st will also have their name entered to win a Hometown Proud hoodie!
