Recreation Board Funding
The County of Northern Lights has recreation agreements with the towns of Grimshaw, Manning and Peace River and provides funding for the following community recreation boards and their facilities in support of resident recreation:

Recreation Board Funding will be given in support of a broad range of recreational and cultural activities, programs and services to ensure opportunities for people of all ages and abilities are available in our County. They must also support local groups who own, operate and maintain facilities or outdoor structures that provide programs, services or recreational experiences.
This funding is intended to provide funding to groups operating within the County and the support communities of Manning, Grimshaw and Peace River. Eligible expenses would include program and event funding, advertisement, and Capital assistance up to $10,000. The majority of this funding will be provided to the North and South Recreation Boards within the County for distribution to eligible community groups in accordance with this policy. Funding is based on a per household basis.
