Economic Development Board
The County of Northern Lights has developed an economic development strategy that seeks to promote entrepreneurship, attract economic investment, and enable business development within the County. To ensure its success within the county, an Economic Development Board has been created to engage industry sector representatives to promote economic growth in our region. The Board functions as an advisory body to the Manager of Economic Development & Community Services further promote business development in the County.

To be eligible, candidates must work within one of the following sectors: Forestry, Agriculture, Oil & Gas or Retail and be a resident of the County of Northern Lights or work for a business located in the County.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the advancement of the County of Northern Lights and a willingness to devote one evening bi-monthly to the board.
There is no salary attached to this position, however, members will be remunerated by honorarium for days of service. Members also receive compensation for eligible travel expenses. For the terms of reference visit the economic development tab at www.countyofnorthernlights.com.
