Finance

The Finance Department of the County of Northern Lights provides the financial management and oversight functions for the County in accordance with generally accepted Canadian accounting principles.

Finance Department responsibilities:

Preparing the County’s annual budget for approval by Council
Monitoring budget disposition and providing timely and accurate reporting to Council and other pertinent stakeholders
Collecting of property taxes based on the annual tax levy as well as other fees associated with the provision of services
Supporting other County departments in areas relating to information technology, contract administration, payroll, human resources, risk management, etc.
